Soooo, for those of you having read my previous blog you know that i have a wedding over the 4th of July weekend, 67 days to be exact, but who’s counting?  So yesterday i was waiting to meet with a group about one of our projects and i got a call from Fiance.  “Beck, i just heard from mom, a tornado touched down in Suffolk today and tore through the town of Driver.”

“NO! Stop playing, Fiance, If your joking with me, this isn’t funny! i will seriously hurt you!”

Trying to sound as sincere and polite as possible Fiance tells me he is not joking.  Our Wedding was set to take place in Suffolk VA and if you know the town of driver, its about the size of old town Manassas.  It was to take place in an old house that they rebuilt in the inside to make into a lovely hardwood floor with nice decorations and it is beautiful over looking the water. 

Everyone was trying to get through and all the phone lines and such were down.  I was in a huge panic! I was freaking out!!  We were looking through pictures on the internet, news everything.  The only thing we found was that a convience store about a mile from the wedding ceremony/reception site was demolished. :’(

We were finally able to get through last night and found out that the place is fine and good to go…………i cried for fear, then relief……i cant really explain all the feelings but im glad that everyone is ok and my venue is still standing.

Sooo, for those that read my previous story i got my co-worker back big time!!  I got the opportunity to write “Alti is a loser” on his car windows of his “First Born” as he calls it! he made my day on Sunday….made me laugh! He wasnt too upset, he thought it was funny but we called it even-

and I passed my senior portfolio )

Soo, i know it’s been a while but this is a good one!

Yesterday a co-worker of mine, for now i will name him…..Alti, because he has a new Nissan Alitima that he loves sooo dearly!  So Alti and I joke around a lot at work.  He will steal my blackberry and update my facebook status to Becky is a loser…ect Then i’ll steal his phone and send a text message to our other co-worker from his phone about how much he loves them- ect

Well….yesterday it went too far!  We were joking around, throwing insults at eachother while he was on the phone with one of his friends….this friend i do not even know.  His friend was feeding him insults through the phone so i commented on the fact that he was not even smart enough to think of his own insults to use on me that he has to call for backup to defend himself….he didn’t like that comment, but again we were “just joking”.

Sooo he hangs up and starts texting his friend- then our store phone rings.  I had to answer it because at this time Alti took another phone call on his cellular.  “Thank you for calling ____ This is Becky, How can i help you today?”

The person on the other end of the phone procedes to yell at me sayin they bought a phone from me and it was a piece of shit and didn’t work.  They asked if that was all i did as a sales rep was sell piece of shit phones and that him having to go through all of this was a bunch of f****** Bull**** (with many other explatives throuhgout the conversation) He told me he wanted his money back and that he wasnt paying for a cent of his bill because this is such bull ****.  I told him i would gladly return his phone and get his money back to me if he came in the store and brought the phone with him.  He told me i had no idea what the f i was talking about and asked to speak to someone else at the store.  So i put him on hold to let him talk to Fuzz because i was getting really flustered and upset.  The person on the line hung up and called back saying i disconnected them and was more mad than before. He wanted corperates number and i gladly gave it to him.  I started to get the hunch at this point that it was Alti’s friend….and this started to pissssss meeeee offfff!!!!!!!!!!!!  Of course i cant be mean though because i dont know if it really is a customer or not, again i never even met the guy!

Soo i ask him if there is any other question or anything else i can do for him and he says “Yea go **** yourself!” and hung up.

I WAS HOT! OHHH I WAS MAD!

I glared at Alti and walked out of the room to the bathroom to compose my now beating red face and decide what to do next.  He thought it was hilarious and sooo funny but i was mad! soo mad!

He said he was sorry and his friend texted him a message saying he felt really bad cause i sounded really sweet on the phone and i said “I DONT CARE!”  Then it was time for us to leave and i didnt say a word to him the entire time! I just glared! He sent me a text saying he was sorry and he felt bad, but my only response was… “Oh you will”

Im not one for retaliation but that one had gone too far! And i never really retaliate they boys do, but i just stay out of most of the physical stuff..until now! 

I stopped at Walmart last night and had to get a few things so i got some beautfiul car window paint >:D and im gonna make him really sorry!!  Cant decide though- should i write “Honk im a big jerk” or “For Sale” on the back window??? hummmmm……

SOOO things are looking up for me in the whole teaching department! I talked to one of my customers today who’s wife works for a local school and said that her county is hiring a large amount of teachers for the new schools opening up and that they would take care of applying for my temp. license as long as i had the degree and experience! I HOLDIN OUT HOPE!!

Ok- so i gotta vent about a peev i have.  I believe that for all the freedoms we have in the US that i should have the to freedom to walk somewhere without being degraded by your nasty looks, nasty whistles, and your STUPID comments!!!!!!!

I went into a gas station to get a red bull and there was a man standing infront of the door to me getting my drink.  I said excuse me and grabed my red bull.  He asked “Are those good?”

Being polite i was like “yeah! i love them” and he LICKS HIS LIPS and goes “Are they the reason you got such a sexy body mama?”

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! FREAKIN PISSES ME OFF! HOW RUDE????? What part of your brain tells you its ok to comment like that???? ugh!…..  >:-{

sooo i finally got the glasses i’ve been needing for a really really long time.  i’ve pretty much been driving around blind for forever.  I went and spent like 200 on contacts 4 years ago but they burned my eyes and i just dont deal with them anymore.  So i got the tax return and got glasses that actually match my face.  My first pare was from 8th grade and they made me look like i was 9! it was crazy! sooo now i feel much better.

On a sadder note, my neighbors nephew died yesterday morning.  he was 24 and they are unsure at this point as to the cause.  He was stationed in Hawaii in the army.  The family said he was lonely there but again, not sure what the final cause was yet.  I feel aweful and couldn’t even imagine the situation.  I bought her a pretty display of flowers and a card, but we all know it doesnt even begin to put a dent in the hole that is now left in her heart.  I feel so sad and yet it really made me realize how much we take “life” for granted….

Ok, so yesterday i went to visit the beautiful cherry blossoms of DC and visit some of the monumnets.  Thinking what a relaxing day this would be….i was shortly proven wrong!  I come from a very military family background.  For instance: Tree wrote in to the local newspaper of Colorado Springs….a huge military city seeing as the Air Force Academy is there, about a topic our family feels strongly about.  The correct way to display the American Flag.  Now, its one thing to rant about a subject that you dont follow through on, but at our house my dad dug a hole in the ground and wired a light on a timer with a glass cover so that every evening at dusk a light will shine form the ground up eluminating our flag at our house.  If it snows, Dad will get up and shovel off the glass top so that the light can still shine through!  So sister wrote in about large companies and other houses leaving their flags out overnight without a light….its a matter of respect.

So…back to the first story.  Went to DC for the blossoms.  There is plenty of information booths about the blossoms and how NOT TO PULL THEM OFF THE TREES! If everyone that visited the blossoms pulled down a clump of the flowers, there wouldn’t be any left the day after!  So i’m  pissed off that people are running around with all these bundles in their hands and look over to this guy viciously shaking a weak tree limb to get the flowers to fall on his girlfriend for a picture.! AHHHH!! seriously? SERIOUSLY??

Then we head on over to the beautiful FDR memorial.  I love this memorial because of the way it is so beautifuly constructed and if you look deeper, the way the waterfalls are positioned match the theme of the terms and each room…ect.  I really like it.  EXCEPT!!!!!!!!!!! for the dumb ass tourists who are letting their child climb on the head of the FDR statue.  (The end one with him and his dog).  The child climbed on the back of his chair to his shoulders to his head.  Mother standing below with her arms reached up to catch her kid from falling while he attempted to try and STAND on his head.  

Now i dont know about you, but if my parents we any where near me with their arms reached out while i was climbing on FDR’s head it would have been to reach out and beat my ass red! I could not believe that they thought it was cute and funny!! Its a memorial not a disney world statue! UGH!

ok…venting over……..back to work! (like thats any better)

so my portfolio is finnaly turned in! yay!!  I spent a small portion of Memory class piecing together the last bits of it and then i went to turn it in to Porf Dunne.  I signed off the paperwork and handed her my final, finished fully loaded portfolio.  I guess she didn’t know how heavy it was when she took it from me and she dropped it….and all 200 some pages, each individually wrapped in page slippery page protecters went sliding across her office floor {silly Dunne }

So i spent the next 10 minutes trying to gather the pieces and put it all back together successfully.  I managed to do so and now it’s out of my hands…..i can see summer right around the corner!

wow!! i never thought i would get this far!! i only have a couple small sections left to do and a little bit of tweaking but i can see an end to this portfolio in site……….and what an amazing site it is!………..relief!
